The device is designed for continuous, pass-through washing of potatoes and root vegetables in a stainless steel drum submerged in water. The water level is automatically maintained. Additionally, at the outlet, the washed raw material is rinsed with clean water on a drainage grate, supplied by two nozzles.
Sludge removal and periodic water exchange in the tank are carried out in an adjustable automatic cycle (working time/valve opening time).
The washing efficiency depends on the degree of soiling and the desired level of cleanliness and is regulated by the amount of raw material fed and the drum rotation speed.
